John is the Managing Attorney at the Law Offices of John C. Carlson. He focuses his practice representing clients in personal injury, criminal, restraining order and traffic matters, and has several years of experience in each of these areas.

He graduated from San Luis Obispo High School in 2000, graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2004, and graduated from the University of San Diego Law School in 2014.

Prior to law school, John was employed as a business consultant for a large aerospace company and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, as well as studied and worked abroad in Strasbourg and Paris, France. After law school and before starting his own firm, he worked as an attorney in Sacramento for the federal government and as a personal injury and criminal defense attorney in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Luis Obispo counties.

He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the American Association of Justice (AAJ), the American Bar Association, the San Luis Obispo Bar Association, the Santa Barbara Bar Association, and the Santa Barbara Rotary Club.

In his personal time, John enjoys playing tennis, gardening, traveling, practicing French, volunteering, and spending time with his wife Justine, daughters Bridget and Camille, and dog Oso.
